My name is Rachel, and I am a teacher with the Delta School District. Apart from doing my practicum in middle school, most of my teaching experience comes from teaching secondary English in China at a BC offshore school to ELL students. I have my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education both from UBC.
The main purpose of this blog is for my on-going goal of professional development to further improve my practice. I am a lifelong student at heart, and am currently doing a Diploma of Education with UBC. You will mainly see posts related to my coursework, and maybe some occasional fun things as well (I haven't decided yet).
For non-teaching related news, I am a big fan of gaming (mostly single-player JRPGs), travelling (Japan is my home away from home), and eating good food! I have also recently started getting more into health and fitness as a way to improve my lifestyle.
